Do You Clean Broken Glass From Inside the Door?
When a side window shatters, broken glass doesn't necessarily stay on the seats and floor. Pieces can also fall down inside the door.
At Dope Tintings, we vacuum accessible broken glass from the passenger compartment and from inside the door during the replacement process.
We've worked on vehicles after glass replacements performed elsewhere and found significant amounts of shattered glass still sitting inside the door.
Leftover glass can create rattling and leave unnecessary debris inside the door, including around the lower portion of the door and drainage areas. Our goal is not simply to install another piece of glass — we take the time to clean accessible broken glass while we already have access to the inside of the door.
How Long Does Car Side Window Replacement Take?
Most car side-window replacements take approximately 1 to 2½ hours once we have the correct glass. Installation time varies because not every vehicle is constructed the same.

Same-day side-window replacement may be available depending on the vehicle, glass availability, our schedule and what time you contact us. If we can obtain the correct glass early enough, the replacement may be completed the same day.
Overnight indoor storage
If it's too late in the day to obtain the glass and complete the installation before closing, customers may be able to drop the vehicle off and leave it inside our Pennsauken shop overnight. This can prevent you from having to leave a vehicle with a broken or missing side window sitting outside overnight exposed to rain, weather or additional theft.

Yes. Dope Tintings can work with insurance for qualifying auto-glass replacement claims. But sometimes paying out of pocket may make more financial sense.
If the replacement cost is below or close to the customer's applicable insurance deductible, filing a claim may provide little or no financial benefit.
Example: If a covered side-window replacement costs $800 and the customer's applicable deductible is $500, insurance may cover the remaining eligible amount, subject to the terms of the customer's policy. If the replacement costs less than the applicable deductible, paying out of pocket may make more sense.

Can You Tint My Replacement Car Window?
Yes. Dope Tintings can also tint the replacement side window.
If a tinted side window breaks, installing replacement glass does not automatically restore the aftermarket tint that was on the original window. That can leave one clear replacement window beside the remaining tinted windows.
Because we're already the tint shop, Dope Tintings provides both side-window glass replacement and professional automotive window tinting from the same Pennsauken location. If the remaining windows are already tinted, we can discuss tinting the replacement glass to coordinate with the existing setup.
Does Car Side Window Replacement Come With a Warranty?
30-Day Workmanship Warranty
Yes. Dope Tintings provides a 30-day workmanship warranty on door-window replacements. The warranty covers issues related to our installation workmanship. For example, if the replacement window is not rolling up or down correctly because of an issue with our installation, contact us so we can inspect it.
The workmanship warranty does not cover new damage to the glass after installation, including cracked or broken glass caused by impact, an accident, a break-in or another external cause. If you experience an issue with the operation of a door window we replaced, contact Dope Tintings within the 30-day warranty period so we can evaluate the installation.
